KIWI SURF FESTIVAL 2015

The Kiwi Surf Festival will take place the 25th and 26th of July on the North Beach of Biscarrosse. Kiwi in partnership with Lou Bisca will welcome the world best tandem surfing couples for a stage in the World Cup as well as the best longboarders for a stage in the French Cup and Stand Up Paddle.

Everyyear, the KSF gathers an international Surf competition with a musical scene in a unique event, feet in the sand.
There is more public and competitors every year. So this year again, come meet us at the Kiwi to enjoy and share those intense moments of art and sports.

THE COMPETITION:

More than 80 surfers compete for 2 days from 9am Saturday to 3pm Sunday according to the conditions.

Tandem Surfing : extraordinary discipline mixing surf and dance. The couple must realize lifts while surfing the wave. It requires coordination, strength and flexibility combined with a lot of technique.

Longbard : this is an old discipline mixing grace and technique. It consists in surfing and walking on the board.

Stand Up Paddle : this is a new discipline where the surfer is always standing up and moving with a paddle, it also helps for a better direction on the wave.

Just next to the North roundabout, in partnership with La Siesta Restaurant, the Kiwi Surf Festival will offer :

  • Free activities : mecanichal surf, skim board run, introduction to skimboard
  • Presentation area of our partners
  • Non-stop music with more than 6 DJ on the week end.
